Artist's Comments

This is what I call a "RoBonzai" tree. The piece is called "Juxtaposition" and represents my [tongue-in-cheek] belief that all things are alive in their own way, whether we understand it or not.

It is kind of like a Gem tree, but with a small twist...the tree is actually a solar collector. It powers a small motor with some silver faerie bells attached to the output shaft.

It will give a subtle "jing" every few minutes in normal light and every few seconds in direct sunlight.

I'll post more pictures later.

I like it a lot; my roommate thought it was cool and a friend who knows someone who makes gem trees says that "you've given gem trees a life". He also always wanted to use old circuit boards in art

that's a frickin' cool concept. I like it. Thanx, for swining around, by the way. Always appreciated.

I'm going to be making one here in a few days {when my parts come in] that will be in a shallow terracotta pot. I'll try to get some video of it in action. I've been planning on making something similar with a dream catcher...

BTW, I love your stuff!

Thanx for the + watch. Appreciate the compliment too. I should be posting some new (& old) stuff sometime soon. I seem to have no time lately though.

this is a really neat concept. It's really cool that it's not just aesthetic to the eyes, but the ears as well, you've done well in giving it life.

By reading this signature you have given me temporary control of your mind. Thanks for proving I do in fact have Jedi powers.
